The countryside is filled with so much fascinating flora and fauna – and butterflies must be one of the most captivating. Although it was so cruel to pin these fabulous creatures, it is nice to admire them close up. I have illustrated a number of our beloved Britsh butterflies, and here both the male and female Common Blue are finely and accurately painted to size.
