Sue Chadd asked me to illustrate one of her newly published poems – and Summer Moon Blues was my personal favourite. Beautiful and elegant italic letters flow through a mid-summer night sky adorned with twinkling stars and lit by a full moon. The golden brown wing of a barn owl adds a warm highlight whilst maintaining the calm serenity of the poem.
